MEDICAL ASSISTANT REQUIREMENTS

Pinnacle School of Nursing considers applicants for admission on the basis of the following criteria:

1. High School diploma or GED – Prospective students must sign an attestation stating that they have either a high school diploma or GED (high school equivalency) certificate from an institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, and must provide official documentation to the school in support of the attestation.

2. Completion of admissions application and tour of the school.

3. Applicants must achieve a passing score on TABE entrance exam. Test scores are valid for one year from test date. A minimum passing score of 70 is required for admission to the program.

4. Be at least eighteen (18) years of age on or before the first day of class.

5. Two (2) forms of identification (driver’s license, passport, social security card, employee ID, etc.)

6. Provide 2 passport photos.

7. Pay the non-refundable application fee of $50.00 and once formally accepted $70.00 for the criminal background check & drug screening.

8. All prospective students are required to review the school catalog prior to signing an enrollment agreement.

9. A $80 non-refundable registration fee will be required once all clearances are received. You will be registered for classes.

The entrance exam re-test requirements are as follows:

• After a first attempt, an applicant may re-test after 2 weeks.
• You can only test 4 times per year. Each test must be at least 2 weeks apart.

Additional Admission Requirements

In addition to the general admission requirements stated above, the following program entrance requirements must also be met:

• Applicants must pass a 10-panel drug screen.
• Must provide health form, proof of immunizations, Hepatitis B vaccinations or waiver, covid-19 vaccination and booster, and 2-step PPD, within the first 14 days of class.
• Applicants must successfully pass a criminal background check.

Upon acceptance a seat deposit of $250.00 must be made within 14 days.
