Medical Assistant Procedures
Prospective students interested in admission will perform the following procedure:
1. Applicant will complete an initial application to provide pertinent background information.
2. An interview will be conducted with each applicant to evaluate goals, expectations and to determine the program of study meets the applicant’s interest, educational level and personal circumstance.
3. Each applicant will take a tour of the school which will include an opportunity to meet faculty and staff.
4. The TABE entrance exam, as described in the Admissions Requirements, is required, and students who achieve a passing score will be considered for admission.
5. Personal Essay- Why I want to become a Medical Assistant? Why now is a good time to pursue my education?
6. The applicant meets with the Business Manager to develop a plan for financing their education, including a personal payment plan, if qualified.
7. The student will receive written notification of acceptance from the school via email.
8. An enrollment agreement is completed and signed by both the student and a school representative. The enrollment agreement contains the details of the student’s enrollment including the program of study, start and end dates, tuition and fees, payment plan, and other necessary information. The student will pay the background/UDS fee at this time. A separate seat deposit is required within 10 days of being notified of the results and formal acceptance.
9. After enrollment, student must complete and submit the required health form, including the proof of immunizations, Hepatitis B vaccinations, Covid-19, and 2-step PPD within the first 14 days of class or their enrollment may be cancelled.
